Season 1
Summary:
In the first season of series, Dexter Morgan was adopted by a Miami Police Officer, Harry Morgan who detected his homicidal tendencies and encouraged his son to utilize his violent impulses in a very positive manner by killing people who deserve it. His victims include mobs, serial killers and flagitious criminals who have slipped through the justice system as no effort was ever made to prosecute them. In order to satisfy his interest in blood and to alleviate his own crimes, Dexter starts working as a blood spatter in the Miami Metro Police Department. Dexter is liked by most of his colleagues and has a girlfriend Rita and two children. Season first primarily focused on ‘The Ice Truck Killer’. He’s a serial killer and is eluding the Miami Police Department. Dexter’s sis Debra starts dating Rudy who is revealed to the viewers to be the Ice Truck Killer and Rudy tries to kill Debra at the end of the season. But he’s stopped by Dexter. Dexter kills him and makes his death like suicide. The season first ends up with Dexter and his sister’s entrance in some crime scene. Dexter’s first season’s first episode ‘Dexter‘ was first aired on 10-1-2006 and the last episode ‘Born Flee’ was aired on 12-17-2006.

Dexter is called to the scene of the crime at the Castillo junkyard. The Ice Truck Killer has returned Valerie Castillo’s body putting Dexter in danger of being caught. A boy is found who witnessed the crime.

While the rest of the police department are focused on finding the Ice Truck Killer, Dexter is busy gathering evidence for his next victim. It turns out he will also discover more about relationships, love and how to make a success of it all. In doing so he gets some hilarious advice from unlikely sources and we see the first time that he actually kills two people at one time.

Dexter is a forensic expert in blood patterns who works with the Miami Police Department. He is also a serial killer, who kills people that the police can’t bring to justice. He has to hide his double life from his sister, his girlfriend and his co-workers. He is intrigued by a killer who has found a way to kill girls without leaving blood behind.
